Donna Lanier, owner of All Seasons One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Huntsville, is celebrating a decade in the heating and air-conditioning industry. She’ll concede, though, “if you had told me 10 years ago that I’d own a heating and cooling company, I would have told you you’re absolutely crazy.
“It’s funny how things happen.”
But then, Lanier, 49, is a firm believer in following your dreams. “You can do anything if you put your mind to it,” she says.
Lanier’s first exposure to being an entrepreneur came in 1988 when she bought a full-service Chevron station on Drake Avenue – complete with three mechanic bays – and became the owner-operator. There were naysayers when she took over the station – even the mechanic there left. But running the successful station turned out to be a highlight of Lanier’s career.
“It was a wonderful experience,” she says. “I loved every minute of it.” Read full post.
