Mafatlal Industries (MIL), a flagship company of Arvind Mafatlal Group, is planning to open 50 showrooms this year across the country at an investment of Rs 6 crore.
With the domestic economy is growing at a sustained growth of over 5 per cent despite drawdowns in global economies, MIL is in the process setting up 10 showrooms in Maharashtra, 5 in Gujarat, 20 in Kerala, 5 in Tamil Nadu, 5 in Bihar and another 5 in Kolkata.
Currently, the company has 200 retail showrooms, and 6,000 retail outlets in both full-fledged and franchisee showrooms.
It also plans to increase its semi wholesale dealers from 300 to 500 and add another 500 retail showrooms over 5 years span.
