Roadside Clinics To Cater To Truck Drivers

Bizjournals.com:

Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab, which is establishing a chain of convenient care health clinics geared toward truckers, plans to open two locations in the Metroplex next year.

The Las Vegas-based clinic operator plans to open 1,400-square-foot health clinics in Dallas and Fort Worth along popular trucking routes at roadside travel center truckstops in the Metroplex. The Dallas clinic, scheduled to open by April, will be located off Interstate 20 at 8787 South Lancaster Road. The Fort Worth clinic, to open by June, will be located off Interstate 35 at 2400 Alliance Gateway.

Each clinic will have four clinical rooms, a lobby and a laboratory area where truckers and other roadside travelers can get medical treatment for minor illnesses “such as colds, flus, strep throat, bumps, bruises and stitches,” as well as get annual exams required by the Department of Transportation, said Bob Perry, president of Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab.
