Restaurant industry veteran Kelly Harris bought six Peterbrooke Chocolatier stores Aug. 24, and made public Aug. 26 his appointment as president of Peterbrooke Franchising Inc., the company charged with growing the Jacksonville chocolatier into a national brand. Harris is now the top executive of two separate companies: Peterbrooke Franchising and Times Grill Restaurant Group.
Harris also plans to grow Times Grill, a casual dining restaurant featuring 25 different types of hamburgers, into a national business.
Harris said he became president of Peterbrooke franchising in mid-2008, but he declined to say why it was not announced at that time.
