Happi House Restaurants announced today that the company has just served its 20-millionth piece of teriyaki chicken. The company, which began in 1976 in San Jose’s Japantown, is famous for its “bone-in” teriyaki chicken and calculates that the 20-millionth piece was served earlier this month.

The milestone comes as Happi House is springing onto the chicken franchise and teriyaki franchise scenes after implementing a new growth strategy last year. “Our plan is to bring a fresh new, yet proven, franchise opportunity to an underserved market,” said Joshua Richman, CEO and long-time franchise developer, “we see a fast-growing demand for quality quick service Asian meals that is projected to only grow larger.” Richman says that Happi House has the necessary experience, menu systems, brand loyalty, and support team in place to thrive under these circumstances, and adds that Happi House is a great choice for those seeking a chicken franchise, teriyaki franchise, Asian franchise, or healthy option QSR franchise.
