Cybertary, Inc., a network of professional Virtual Assistants (VAs) supporting independent and small-business owners, announced the addition of its first North Carolina regional developer and second active franchise office in Charlotte. CybertaryAs we begin Women’s Small Business Month in October, it illustrates the tremendous growth of privately-held majority (51% or more) women-owned firms throughout North Carolina. In a 2006 study by the U.S. Small Business Administration, North Carolina was ranked fifth in the nation for women-owned business growth. Franchise developers and mother and daughter, Emma Farmer and Aisha Horne will sell Cybertary franchises in the greater Charlotte – Mecklenburg and Raleigh – Wake areas as well as operate their own franchise in the greater Charlotte area. Cybertary also has an existing South Charlotte office owned by Tracy Phipps.

Emma Farmer and daughter Aisha Horne always dreamed of owning a business together. Farmer spent the last 22 ½ years in the hospitality industry where she performed as Director of Sales, General Manager and Area General Manager for Marriott International. Over the past 7 ½ years, Emma served as General Manager, Director of Revenue Management, Director of Operations and most recently V.P. of Operations and Sales for SREE Hotels, a successful franchise in the Charlotte area. Farmer brings her experience in leadership, training and development, team building, human resources, operations, sales and marketing.
