Melting Pot Joins St. Jude’s ‘Thanks And Giving’ Campaign

The Melting Pot Restaurant of Darien joins St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org/ in its sixth annual Thanks and Giving campaign being held through Dec. 5, to “give thanks for the healthy kids in your life, and give to those who are not” by donating a portion of proceeds to cancer research.

“The fundraising target for the Darien Melting Pot this year is a very ambitious $16,300, up from $13,300 in 2008,” said James Layfield, restaurant owner and general manager at the Darien location of the nation’s premier fondue franchise. “We once again ask our guests to help us by contributing on their next visit to the restaurant. One employee, Betsy, has written a personal letter to friends and family soliciting donations and explaining that just $20 can pay for one bone marrow needle used for testing for leukemia.” Continue reading this post.
