Wings Promotion Suspended

The wing promotion at an Atlantic Terminal restaurant that attracted large crowds of teenagers Tuesday night was not the cause of the mayhem in nearby Fort Greene that resulted in three teenagers being shot, a top executive said last night. Nevertheless, the chain has canceled the wing promotion at that restaurant “indefinitely,” he said.

Michael Mehiel, the chief operating officer for Four M Capital, LLC, the New York franchise of parent company for the Buffalo Wild Wings chain, sent an e-mailed statement saying the restaurant, located at 139 Flatbush Avenue, learned over the weekend of an unauthorized flier, circulated on social networking sites, to draw students to the mall on Tuesday — the eve of Veteran’s Day, a school holiday. He said the restaurant took precautions to prevent any incidents. Full article.
