A chain of preschools in Georgia plans to open a half-dozen facilities in the Richmond area over the next two years, including three in 2010.
The company’s vice president for franchising, R. Scott Sutton, said this week that Sunbrook Academy will seek franchisees and is scouting for locations, although it has not yet signed any contracts for sites.
Sunbrook has not registered with the State Corporation Commission to offer franchises, an agency spokesman said. State law requires registration before selling franchises, including financial disclosures and details about terms of their franchise agreements.
Sunbrook plans to register with the State Corporation Commission shortly, Sutton said.
