MSP Michael McMahon got a behind-the-scenes taste of life in a fastfood outlet when he toured the newly-refurbished McDonald’s restaurant at the Palace Grounds in Hamilton.
The tour, which took place last Monday, was hosted by franchisee Jack Glen who recently re-opened the restaurant following the £350,000 upgrade.
Jack owns and operates both McDonald’s restaurants in Hamilton, and they employ around 140 people.
The visit offered Mr McMahon the opportunity to learn more about Jack’s business and the work to give the eaterie a new look.
A similar refurbishment at Jack’s other restaurant at Douglas Park Retail Park was completed last year.The tour also included an account of a typical working day in the restaurant.
