Peterborough once again became the leading example for franchising when at the recent British Franchise Association‘s annual general meeting, the city’s group of franchise businesses stood out as examples of progressive thinking.
The regulatory standards body for franchising, the bfa in the UK is now being further developed to directly engage the thousands of individual franchisees, which will produce a combined voice for an industry that now employees nearly half a million eople.
The key to these developments will be initiatives and structures which benefit franchises on a local level and it is Peterborough that has provided the lead.
Over the last three years, a group of franchisees has developed a local business group including brands such as Belvoir Lettings, Cartridge World, Venture, Sign-A-Rama, Tax Assist Accounting, Driver Hire Recruitment, 80 20 Financial Management, Dream Doors, Domino’s Pizza, McDonald’s, Select Appointments, Riverford and many more.
