A new Pizza Hut and WingStreet will open Monday in Kanawha City behind the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant and beside the Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse.
The restaurant at 5730 MacCorkle Ave. is the first in the Charleston area with a Pizza Hut co-located with a WingStreet.
Pizza Hut has been in Kanawha City for more than 30 years. The original restaurant, at 4225 MacCorkle Ave., is believed to have been the first in the state. That location closed earlier this year when the restaurant lost its lease. That building was demolished and a CVS Pharmacy subsequently opened on the lot.When the original Pizza Hut closed, the company immediately began looking for a new Kanawha City location.
