With frigid, snowy weather outside, places for younger children to run off their energy have become few and far between.
Thankfully for Shawnee residents, a new indoor option has opened close by. Little Monkey Bizness, 12219 Shawnee Mission Pkwy., opened its doors on “Black Friday†and is quickly becoming a favorite play place for young children and their parents.
Carrie Bingham, owner, said when she opened Monkey Bizness, a play place for children of all ages in Olathe, she was the first franchisee for the company that now has locations in Colorado, Idaho, Illinois and Texas, and she always hoped to expand with more locations. But finding space that could accommodate the rides and playplaces for the business, which is open to children of all ages, was a challenge.
Then Monkey Bizness created the “Little Monkey Bizness†concept that could fit into retail centers and aimed at younger children. Bingham saw both a chance to expand her business and fill a niche that the Kansas City area was missing. Read full story.
