Five Guys Will Open At Coconut Point On Sunday

Make it No. 9 for Five Guys.

The popular hamburger restaurant plans to open its ninth restaurant in Southwest Florida on Sunday at Coconut Point mall in Estero, said franchisee J.R. Rosenau.

It will open in the same location as the former Shane’s Rib Shack, 23050 Via Villagio, Suite 105, he said. Converting the former Shane’s into a Five Guys wasn’t too difficult, he said.

“It’s just a reconfiguration,” he said. “All of the Five Guys are an easy template to do your buildout with.”

Another Five Guys opened at U.S. 41 and Old 41 Road in the fall.

Rosenau said he’s fortunate that he’s been able to grow his business in the past couple years.

“We seem to be somewhat recession-proof,” he added.
