Franchise Owner Helps Kids Learn About CSI

The Franchise Magazine:

The first franchise owner of Technology IT specialists ComputerXplorers in Scotland has helped children in a Glasgow school discover more about the police’s Crime Scene Investigation work.

The owner of ComputerXplorers South West Scotland, John McGill, ran the six-week after-school course every Wednesday for Years 6 and 7 pupils at Carmyle Primary School.

Father-of-two John, who is based in East Kilbride, set up ComputerXplorers South West Scotland in September 2009, when he recognised the importance of developing core life skills in children from an early age.

During the course, the children learned how to examine fingerprints and hair samples, use digital microscopes, digital photography analysis and work the field scene. The pupils even had a visit by PC Steven Docherty, a member of their local Community Policing Team, who joined in the class to see how they were shaping up. Full article.
