Second Salsarita’s Opening In North Myrtle Beach

Chris Tobin, an award-winning Salsarita’s franchisee, is opening a second location this spring in Barefoot Landing.

Tobin and his wife, Cindy, have owned a Maggie Moo’s ice cream shop at Barefoot Landing for six years. In early 2009 the couple purchased the Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina in Myrtle Beach at Plantation Point Plaza.

That restaurant was struggling; it had been taken back by the corporate office and had lost its liquor license. The Tobins not only resurrected that Salsarita’s, they made it thrive.

“I was taken aback at how far the concept had deteriorated,” Tobin said in a recent interview. “The biggest thing was cleanliness, and not making foods to the Salsarita’s specifications.”
