The old BP gas station that has been vacant for a number of years is finally gone and that lot will be developed to make room for a new business. Express Oil Change LLC began the steps to construct a new facility earlier this week by getting the paperwork in order, demolishing the old BP gas station and getting construction underway. “We’re hoping to open June 17,” Fuad Hassan, local Express Oil Change franchisee, said.

Hassan was born and raised in Bangladesh and came to the U.S. in 1985 to attend college. For the past several years, he has been living in Dallas, Texas, working as an electrical engineer making computer chips.

Due to the recession, the market went bad and he was downsized. Looking for more control over his career, he considered business ownership. With that consideration in mind, Hassan found everything he was looking for in Express Oil Change and Service Center — a recession resistant industry, great support from corporate, a strong, established company and more.
