Temecula Has Spicy Pickles

Press-Enterprise:

Spicy Pickle, a Denver-based chain of fast, casual restaurants that has been expanding rapidly into more than a dozen states, opened its first Inland Southern California location about three weeks ago, according to a statement.

The chain, which features a variety of sandwiches and salads, is located at 7075 Margarita Road near The Promenade at Temecula. It is owned by local franchisees Michael and Nicole Serpico. The Serpicos are familiar with the area and have already picked up catering customers.

Spicy Pickle, which started in 1999 and is publicly traded over-the-counter, has about 40 locations, and plans are on the books to add at least 40 others. Most of the locations are franchised, and the company plans to add as many as 12 locations in Texas and others in Nevada, Oklahoma and Nevada before the end of the year.
