Boost Juice Sells Majority Stake For $65m

A Us-based private equity firm has paid roughly $65 million to purchase a controlling stake in Boost Juice, crystallising gains for founders Janine and Jeff Allis and major investors, the Besen family.

The Riverside Company, which opened its Australian office only last month, has taken a 65 per cent stake in Boost Investment Group, owners of the Boost Juice Bars and Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill.

Since its creation in 2000 Boost Juice has grown quickly and now has 250 stores in 14 countries with an estimated annual turnover of more than $125 million and profits of around $6 million. Two years ago Boost acquired a majority holding in Mexican food chain Salsa’s from its Australian founder and has rolled out 20 stores. Continue reading this post.
