The Bahamas may be gearing up for an influx of entrepreneurial business opportunities, with many U.S. franchises looking at growth in this market to make up for falloffs in their own.
It’s a trend Franchise Expo organizer Andy Ingraham says The Bahamas is likely to see start shaping by next year.
“I think you are going to see drastic changes over the next couple years,” he told Guardian Business. “The market is down in the U.S. and what happens when job opportunities gets scarce… well people look at entrepreneurial opportunities and that is going to fuel the growth of franchises in The Bahamas.
“Within the next 18 months you’re going to see a whole litany of opportunities not only in Nassau, but in Freeport as well as in The Family Islands.”
