Pizza Franchise’s Wood River Opening Sets Records

Alton Telegraph:

If someone has the courage to order the Big World pizza from the area’s newest Pizza World location, they better be really, really hungry.

“This pizza is two feet around and 452 square inches,” owner Eric Wortham said. “It is equivalent to about three extra large pizzas. For only $24.95, it is a great value and can feed eight adults.”

The Wood River Pizza World opened for business last month at 1142 Vaughn Road.

“This opening in Wood River set grand opening records for the first two weeks,” Wortham said. “It was so overwhelming that we had a hard time keeping up. I was very happy with the customer feedback, but we could have been more trained and ready. For the most part it went extremely well.” Read more.
