Prontaprint Carlisle has been taken over by new franchise owners. Marion and David Whittaker have taken over the print and design franchise from James and Wendy Murrell, who retired following 24 years in the business.
Before becoming a Prontaprint franchise owner Mr Whittaker worked as a civil engineer, while Marion worked as a healthcare assistant and has 28 years of banking experience.
Mr Whittaker said: “Prior to taking over the centre we were both working long and unsociable hours. We were looking for a new challenge and we’ve always wanted to run our own business so, after researching the options, we decided to invest in such a strong and established franchise.
