Huddle House Enters Market

Press-Register:

Huddle House is offering franchise incentives to boost the restaurant chains efforts to expand into Mobile and Baldwin counties.

A first location is planned at 370 W. Lee St. in Chickasaw.

We already have a lot of stores in Alabama, and it makes sense to look at Mobile, said Thomas Flaherty, chief development officer for the Atlanta-based company. There are almost 40 Huddle House restaurants in the state.

Chickasaw will be the first one in the area and should get a lot more people to taste the product, Flaherty said. The timing is good, he added, as there are a lot of good real estate opportunities with a down market.

The Chickasaw restaurant will open later this year and feature the companys new prototype building and red-and-white logo.

Franchisees can build new or convert existing restaurant spaces, he said. Huddle House eateries average 1,850- to 2,200-square feet.
