The Orlando area Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee plans to provide 3-D viewing for sporting events beginning June 11.
Longwood-based Sunshine Restaurant Corp. signed an agreement in late May with El Segundo, Calif.-based Be Media for an undisclosed price that will allow Sunshine Restaurant’s five existing eateries and two being built to show 3-D viewing on several of the restaurants’ flat-screen monitors and projector screens. The restaurants will be using the XpanD 3-D glasses technology, which in the past had the glasses only for use in movie theaters and now has expanded that to television, said a news release.
ESPN, which is owned by Disney, is set to unveil its 3-D technology for the FIFA World Cup June 11. The technology, like several that ESPN now employs, was developed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.
