Tin Star Opens In San Antonio

Fast Casual:

Tin Star franchisee Jay Battle has opened a new location in San Antonio. Located in the heart of San Antonio’s medical and business community, the restaurant features a new gluten-free menu, as well as complimentary fresh chips and three varieties of salsa made daily.

The grand opening will be marked with a taco plate giveaway for San Antonio teachers.

“As San Antonio residents and natives, Jay and I know the dedication teachers have to this community,” said Mike Rangel, Tin Star brand owner and president of M.D. Rangel Enterprises in a news release. “We wanted to do something special for Tin Star’s return to San Antonio, and therefore chose to honor teachers for all their hard work during the past school year.”

San Antonio teachers with valid school I.D. will receive any single taco plate on the Tin Star menu during the first week of business, giving teachers the opportunity to sample the various menu options. Additionally, the restaurant offers free kids meals Sunday through Wednesday after 4 p.m. with the purchase of an adult entrée. Seniors and military personnel also will receive 10 percent off an entrée or a free drink with their purchase anytime they visit the restaurant.
