Conditions are ripe for franchise brand expansion in North Carolina, says a new study that ranks the state among the top six in the country for retail and restaurant business growth.
Franchisors and franchisees have been flocking to North Carolina, and the Triangle in particular, for years, and according to the report by market research firm Pitney Bowes Business Insight, the trend should continue for at least the next three years.
The Pitney Bowes report ranked North Carolina among the top 10 states for projected employment and retail sales growth over the next three years. When researchers divided the country into six regions, North Carolina came out on top in the Southeast.
“North Carolina has always been a hot bed for franchises,” says Steve Beagelman, chief executive of SMB Franchise Advisors of Philadelphia, a consulting firm that works with brands wanting to expand nationwide. Read more.
