Winmark Corporation announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the payment of a cash dividend to its shareholders.
The quarterly dividend of $0.02 per share will be paid on September 1, 2010 to shareholders of record on the close of business on August 11, 2010. Future dividends will be subject to Board approval.
Winmark Corporation creates, supports and finances business. At June 26, 2010, there were 889 franchises in operation under the brands Play It Again Sports(R), Once Upon A Child(R), Plato’s Closet(R) and Music Go Round(R) and there were 19 territories in operation under the Wirth Business Credit(R) brand. An additional 46 retail franchises have been awarded but are not open. In addition, at June 26, 2010, the Company had loans and leases equal to $35.4 million.
