U.S. indoor tanning franchise TWI Franchising Inc. (dba tanworld) is getting a fantastic response to their Back to School Supplies Drive. Pam Elbert, who owns a tanworld franchise in Urbandale, Iowa,
kicked off the program in her salon earlier this month. The drive asks customers to bring a donation of unopened items such as glue sticks, notebooks, boxes of pencils and other school-related supplies to the salon. The supplies are then dropped off at a local school. In return, the customers are given a free tan on a Comfort Level tanning system or an upgrade to an Elite Level tanning system. Thanks to the great response from the community, the items are now being divided between three local schools instead of just one.
Elbert is ecstatic with the results. “We wanted to do something to increase our community involvement, and this is such a rewarding program. Although our current contribution is with just a few schools, it is still important to be involved in the community. It’s a great feeling to know that you have helped,†Elbert shares.
