Mothercare Propped Up By International Sales

Car Rentals:

Mothercare has stretched out into some of the fastest growing economies in the world.

The international move by Mothercare has helped soften the impact of problematic and uncertain trading conditions that persist in the UK. Retailer Mothercare recently made the statement that its swift international expansion has gone so well that it now generates more income from overseas than from the UK.

The milestone between international and UK income was achieved during the first half of this financial year to October 9. This was when UK sales dropped 0.5%, but international incomes increased 17%. During April, Mothercare reported its first dip in UK sales for 19 quarters. Ben Gordon, the chief executive announced that Mothercare was well prepared and expected these trading pressures to continue.
