Action Companies,
a hotel developer and owner of the local Quaker Steak & Lube (QSL) franchise, has plans to add more restaurants in areas of upstate New York, including Utica and Watertown, beginning in early 2011.
Quaker Steak & Lube, a motor-sports themed, casual-dining family restaurant, today announced the expansion plan in a news release.
Action Companies, a Quaker Steak & Lube franchisee since 2008, has agreed to a 16-restaurant area development agreement with QSL Franchising Corporation. The new restaurants represent the “largest growth development plan” since the brand started franchising in 1997, the company said.
Besides the Utica and Watertown locations, Action Companies wants restaurant locations in Rochester, Albany, and Saratoga Springs. The agreement also includes seven additional sites in the New England states.
