Local To Open Five Guys Burgers

The Daily Advertiser:

Lafayette native Billy Jacob, a former corporate chef whose culinary roots sprouted here at the landmark eatery that bore his family’s name, is planning to return.

His mother, Olite, founded the Four Corners Café during the Great Depression. Under his parent’s stewardship it grew from a small operation to become Jacob’s Restaurant, which at its height boasted five dining rooms.
Billy and his brother Glenn eventually acquired the eatery, but the oil and gas industry downturn of 1985 forced its closure.

This time, Jacob is gambling that Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which has had meteoric success with a simple menu and an abundant variety of burger toppings, will be the ticket to entrepreneurial success. More.
