Universal Delivery Solutions (UDS) has initiated the process of recruiting up to 80% of
system franchisees to support its 888-SUB-TO-GO service. The company’s plan is to maximize availability of its catering event services by enrolling certified catering franchisees to serve practically every address in the U.S. By the end of 2011 expansion into the Canadian system is anticipated, based on successes in the lower 48 states. UDS is the operating unit of Delivery Technology Solutions Inc. (pinksheets:DTSL), the leader in delivery management technology.
“Building such a large franchisee network is certainly a challenge for our organization,” said UDS CEO Ryan Coblin. “But it’s the kind of big deal that we want to have, if we are to deliver on a customer promise that 888-SUB-TO-GO can serve many people in many places, and that means almost everywhere.”
The total system has more than 23,000 franchises in the U.S. and, even accounting for higher restaurant density in the larger metropolitan markets, it covers virtually every community of any reasonable size.
