Administrator Seeks Delay For Allied Brands

Franchising.net.au:

The saga of the franchisor company Allied Brands continues, with news the administrators are requesting a delay to the second creditors meeting until late January 2011.

Allied Brands, which lost the licence for the ice cream brand BaskinRobbins after going into voluntary administration and has its other key brand Cookie Man in liquidation, has $19m of secured creditors and about 70 unsecured creditors.

Administrator Peter Dinoris of Vincents told Franchising extra time was needed to look into the complex affairs of the franchisor which has 26 subsidiaries.
