Press-Enterprise:

The Sizzler restaurant off Interstate 215 in Murrieta doesn’t look like your typical Sizzler, but it will soon.

The restaurant reopened last week after a four-month remodel, during which it was gutted and reconstructed as a prototype for the future look of the Culver City-based restaurant chain.

“It’s not like a Sizzler that anyone’s ever seen before,” said Sally Myers, a partner in BMW Management Inc., owner of the Murrieta restaurant and Sizzler’s largest franchisee. “And we’ve had just phenomenal comments, and they’re saying just exactly what we wanted… which is, ‘this doesn’t look like Sizzler.'”

Among the new features, the 7,600-square-foot restaurant has a stacked-stone façade with a large archway over the door. Employees hustle in and out, tending to two grills adjacent to the parking lot where they barbecue mesquite-smoked tri-tip for guests. More.
