New Social Franchising Scheme Launches

Civil Society Media:

The Social Enterprise Coalition (SEC) and the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) have launched Scaling to Success, a new programme designed to support organisations looking to replicate their work through franchising.

Starting this month, 20 social entrepreneurs will pilot the learning programme and seek to franchise their organisations. The participants will be introduced to a wide range of established and successful social franchisors as well as technical and sector experts, who will help them to both understand and overcome the challenges of growing and replicating a social enterprise. Those taking part include MyBnk, Bikeworks, London Early Years Foundation and PM Training.

The programme aims to support those with an established model to strategise and plan for growth and, crucially, implement that plan. It will involve addressing the challenges that many encounter, including how to grow whilst maintaining quality, without losing the benefits of a locally-focused solution.
