A Hot Harry’s Closes; Others To Open

Berkshire Eagle:

Hot Harry’s seems to be constantly popping up with more franchises, but here on Main Street the burrito business has gone cold.

The Hot Harry’s in Lee closed after efforts to sell the franchise fell through and the owner, Faisal Ali, reported other setbacks, according to Samir Abdallah, the president of the Pittsfield-based company.

Ali had been looking to sell the eatery, which he bought about a year ago, but wound up taking a buyout from the landlord to terminate the lease.

“The landlord has contacted him on numerous occasions about buying the space,” Abdallah said. “The landlord has made an offer that he cannot refuse.”
