McDonald’s Sued After Employee Exposes Self To Child

Crain’s Chicago Business:

McDonald’s Corp. is being sued for negligence after an employee with a criminal record of sexual exploitation abused a young girl in one of the chain’s Northwest Side restaurants.

An unnamed mother and her daughter filed the lawsuit on Dec. 29. in Cook County Circuit Court against the Oak Brook-based company, franchisee Wright Management Inc. and employee Pablo Salgado, who has pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation in criminal court.

The suit claims that McDonald’s failed to conduct a criminal background check on Mr. Salgado that would have found he had a record for prior sex crimes.
