New Businesses Springing Up Around Catalyst Project

When the city decided four years ago to seek out bids to redevelop the downtown block bounded by P, Q, 13th and 14th streets, officials dubbed it the “Catalyst One” project because it was expected to spur other development on P and Q streets.

But now that ground has been broken on the 10-story building, that development is already sprouting up before a single ounce of concrete has been poured.

Two buildings on 14th Street between P and Q streets are being readied for new tenants that should open in the next few weeks.

One of those, a small, two-bay retail building being built next to the building at 14th and P streets that houses Noodles & Company, is directly related to the Catalyst project. Read on.
