No Silver Bullet

As one of just a handful of women among the almost 500 Maaco owner/operators throughout North America, Charlene Klyne stands out from the crowd. She has become known for her success in the field of auto painting and collision repair, but, since her franchise won a string of awards — including the Maaco Cup for being the chain’s top performing franchisee — Charlene has become even more renowned.

As the general manager of Regina’s Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting, Charlene is often sought out by other franchisees to reveal the secret to her success. “When we are at a North America convention or conference, other franchisees will approach her, looking for the silver bullet or panacea,” said her husband Marty. “She doesn’t have the silver bullet other than to say, ‘follow the [Maaco] system and make sure everybody knows what their job is and inspire them to do the best they can do.’ She doesn’t stray too far from that.” Read more.
