Cosi Inc. Friday posted 4.5% increase in the total system-wide comparable restaurant sales for the fourth quarter in 2010.
However, the company-owned net restaurant sales decreased to $24.63 million for the fourth quarter from $27.71 million for the same period in 2009. The decline related primarily to the sale of thirteen company-owned restaurants to a franchisee during the second quarter of 2010.
Così’s total revenues for the quarter decreased to $25.36 million from $28.24 million in 2009, largely as a result of the sale of the thirteen company-owned restaurants to a franchisee.
