Hess Express gas station/convenience stores have begun opening Quiznos franchises inside their locations throughout Florida. Lorrie Hecker, spokesperson for New York-based Hess Corporation told TCPalm.com that Hess Express’ first Quiznos franchise location opened in December in Spring Hill, Florida. That was followed by six more Hess Express Florida locations in Fort Lauderdale, Inverness, Palm Bay, Port St. Lucie, St. Petersburg and Stuart. The Stuart location opened Wednesday February 2.
Hess’ Hecker told Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers and TCPalm.com that Hess is currently the largest franchisee for Dunkin’ Donuts, Blimpie and Godfather’s Pizza. Citing competitive reasons, Hecker declined to confirm details about the franchise agreement including how many Quiznos locations would open in Hess Express stores and which states are included in the Hess/Quiznos agreement. On February 6, 2011, the Hess Express website listed 1359 locations in 16 eastern seaboard states.
