Amid a myriad of ‘shebeens’ in Katutura is a new business stocked with building materials oddly sandwiched by liquor outlets with their raucous music jukeboxes.
The owners are the first entrepreneurs to take up Pupkewitz Holdings’ initiative of franchising the retail of building materials to small and medium enterprises across the country.
In their early 30s, the entrepreneurs point out they could have erected a liquor outlet – just like everyone in the entire residential area: “It was either a shebeen or something that adds value to the community,†said Erastus Kadhikwa. Read more.
