Washington Business Journal:

The Soup Nazi would be proud: Washington is getting its first soup-focused franchise come April.

Abhay Manglik will open his initial location of Zoup, a franchise of a Southfield, Mich.-based restaurant company, in about 2,000 square feet at 1101 Vermont Ave. NW. Although Zoup serves sandwiches and salads, soup is the headliner: The restaurant makes more than 100 varieties, featuring 12 choices a day.

Mangliko began looking at restaurant franchises as a career option before moving to the Washington area from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
