GS Takes Another Bite Of Applebee’s Franchisee

Here’s a look at some of the top stories in this morning’s LBO Wire:

GS Capital Partners is ordering a round of seconds from the nation’s largest Applebee’s franchisee, Apple American Group.

GS Capital is taking part of the stake owned by Weston Presidio, which bought Apple American from GS Capital in 2005 for an undisclosed amount. Apple American’s restaurants in California, Delaware, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin generate about $700 million in annual sales.
