7-Eleven Launches Money Transfer Service

VRL Financial News:

Money transfer company Ria Financial Services and cash-payment network PayNearMe have teamed up to launch a money transfer and bill payment service across 5,000 US locations of convenience store chain 7-Eleven.

Under the new service, consumers will be able to initiate money transfers or bill payments using their mobile phones in real-time at a 7-Eleven store register.

The process is underpinned by the Ria card, which can be used to pay more than 3,000 US billers and facilitate the sending of remittances in more than 134 countries.

“More than 5m customers who visit 7-Eleven stores in the US every day can now quickly and easily pay bills or send money around the world,” said Juan C. Bianchi, president and CEO of Ria Financial Services.
