Wichita’s Esterline To Become Freddy’s Franchisee

Bizjournals.com (blog):

Wichita real estate developer and businessman Nick Esterline has signed on to become a franchisee of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

Esterline has a five-store agreement for the Tulsa market. He already has his first store planned for Broken Arrow, Okla., on the southeast side of Tulsa.

In picking Freddy’s for his next businesses venture, Esterline says the company, for one, has good food. But he also says he’s convinced of the validity of jumping into established franchises. For years, he’s been a franchisee of Wichita-based Value Place.

“We’re really building a base with our franchise concepts,” Esterline said Wednesday while returning to Wichita from his Value Place hotel in Lincoln, Neb. “We have a few Value Places now. We’re very interested in the structured operations in the Value Place model and the Freddy’s model and, of course, in our apartment model.”
