Pizza Inn is rolling out a new restaurant concept this week that still focuses on pizzas — but they’re just one size, 9 inches, with an array of topping combinations, and can be prepared over the counter in five minutes or less.
Pie five pizza co., with red-white-and-black industrial chic decor and signage, opens at 11 a.m. Friday at Fort Worth’s Montgomery Plaza. The first 50 customers get free pizza for a year.
Pizza Inn, based in The Colony, with more than 300 franchised locations, doesn’t believe that the pizza segment has been saturated. The company has four franchised locations in Fort Worth and one in Richland Hills.
“We are proving the concept in Fort Worth and preparing the concept for franchising,” CEO Charlie Morrison said. “We believe we can grow the concept by 100 restaurants a year.”
