Adding to its collection of economy and midscale brands, America’s Best Franchising signed a 25-year agreement with London-based Parkside Hotels & Resorts.
There is no acquisition affiliated with the deal, Doug Collins, chairman and CEO of America’s Best Franchising, told HotelNewsNow.com. The company will handle development and co-marketing of the Parkside brand, with a focus on bringing it to the United States.
Parkside’s operations will remain in London with no staff reductions, according to Collins.
There is one U.S. Parkside location in the U.S. in Incline Village, Nevada. The entire Parkside portfolio comprises 25 hotels with approximately 1,200 rooms. Other locations include the Philippines, India, Russia and Vietnam.
“We’ve been very focused on the new frontier,†Collins said during a break at the company’s owners and GM meeting in Atlanta. “We’re expanding rapidly overseas.â€
