Tulsa World:
Panera Bread is expanding its bakery cafe concept to the growing Tulsa Hills shopping center on the west side of the Arkansas River, the company’s local franchisee announced.
The fast-casual chain, based outside St. Louis, is known for its cafe style sandwiches, soups and bagels.
“Tulsa Hills is a booming place – a lot of growth going on over there,” said Sue Stees, co-owner of several local Panera Bread restaurants. “And we really haven’t served the Jenks and Sapulpa areas.”
The location, slated to open in mid- or late October, will be on a streetside pad southwest of a Target store.
