According to Griffith University tax researcher and PhD student Toni Brackin, understanding the ins and outs of taxation are as relevant as financial knowledge when it comes to making investment decisions. Brackin said “My research so far has indicated that there are basic parts of the tax system which may be misunderstood by the public and that may impact whether they are receiving all their entitlements and also on financial decisions they might make.
